Benefits Blue Tansy essential oil is another amazing oil for body discomfort.
Benefits Blue Tansy essential oil comes from a bright yellow-flowered Mediterranean herb. It has naturally powerful soothing properties that help provide relief to sore muscles and joints. On it’s own, this oil is perfect for reducing blemishes, is a great help when your moods needs a little extra oomph, and can provide a more concentrated soothing sensation when applied topically with fractionated coconut oil.
Blue Tansy comes from Morocco and it’s a cousin to Roman Chamomile.
Tansy is known by many names, such as bachelor, bitter, or golden buttons; cheese, cow bitter, common tansy, or scented fern. It is related to feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) as well as daisies and marigolds.
Common tansy was once known as a ‘cure-all,’ being used for all sorts of ailments. However, we now know that the essential oil produced by the aerial parts is an oral toxin and abortifacient. The oil can be yellow, olive, or orange and has a sharp herbaceous odor.
Blue Tansy has a mild, slightly fruity smell. It’s rich blue color can be used as a natural dye in soaps, bath bombs and more.
Suggested uses:
- Combine blue tansy with lavender or aromatouch essential oil for a soothing massage.
- Add blue tansy to homemade soaps or bath bombs as a natural dye.
- As previously mentioned, Blue Tansy can be great for your skin. We like adding it to our facial cleanser to help reduce the appearance of blemishes. You can also add it into your moisturizer to soothe your skin.
Remember to apply with carrier oil or your skin will be blue for about 30-60 minutes!
