Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Week 3

Below is our daily planner for Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Week 3.  We review foundations for 30 minutes a day.  We do supplement with other curriculum.

Day 1:  Attend CC campus
Day 2:

• Bible – Exodus 20:1-3
  • Handmotions Video
• History – Listen to song from Weekly CD or CC Connected
  • Children’s Introduction to Greek Mythology or
  • Time Traveler
• Timeline – Review timeline cards (pick a card and read the back or recite an interesting fact to your child)
• Latin – Recite 1st declension noun endings
• Science –Recite parts of an animal cell
  • Animal cell interactive notebook

Day 3:

• Timeline – Watch timeline video from RafikiPaka on CC Connected
• English – Listen to Preposition song from Timeline and more CD or
  • Watch preposition song and hand motions video
• Math –  Skip count 5 & 6’s song from Weekly CD or CC Connected
  • Skip count mazes
  • Math is Fun Times Table
• Geography – Intro to drawing the map
  • Find Hebrew Empire on map
• Art – Draw Upside Down:
  • Choose some simple drawings from Prescripts – Cursive Words and Drawings.  Pg 33, 35 or 39.  Let the student draw correctly then turn the page upside down.  Focus on the shapes instead of the whole image.
  • Here’s more simple drawing ideas.

Day 4:

• Bible – Exodus 20:1-3
  • Learn the Commandments Video
• History – Listen to song from Weekly CD or CC Connected
  • Zeus Craft
• Timeline – Watch timeline video from RafikiPaka on CC Connected
  • Mix up timeline cards and put them in order (Pick a card and read the back or recite an interesting fact to your child)
• Latin – Recite 1st declension noun endings
• Science – Recite parts of an animal cell
  • Experiment:  #57 or #58 from 201 Experiments

Day 5:

• English – Watch preposition song and hand motions video
• Math –  Skip count 5 & 6’s song from Weekly CD or CC Connected
  • Multiplication practice worksheet
  • Math is Fun Times Table
• Geography – Find Hebrew Empire on map
• Art –Draw Upside Down:

• Prepare for weekly presentation
