Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Week 14 Lesson Plans:

As a homeschool family, we enjoy participating in our local Classical Conversations community.  Classical Conversations supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families.
Below is our daily planner for Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Week 14.  We supplement this curriculum with Math and Language Arts.

Day 1:  Attend CC campus
Day 2:

  • Bible – Exodus 20:1-14
  • History – Tell me about trade in Africa
    • Listen to song from Weekly CD or CC Connected x3
  • Timeline – Review timeline cards (pick a card and read the back or recite an interesting fact to your child)
  • Latin – Recite noun cases or sing song from CC connected (SBrooks)
  • Science – Recite x3: What are the 3 kinds of rock? Sedimentary, Metamorphic, and Igneous

Day 3:

  • Timeline – Watch timeline video from RafikiPaka on CC Connected x3
  • English – Recite x3:  Helping Verbs
  • Math – Recite x3: Linear Equivalents
    • 2.54 cm = 1 in
    • 12 in = 1 ft
    • 5,280 ft = 1 ml
    • 1 km = 5/8 mile
  • Geography – Ancient Africa: Ancient Ghana, Ancient Mali, Western Sahara, Fez, Tangier
  • Fine Arts – Ghiberti

Day 4:

  • History – Tell me about trade in Africa
    • Listen to song from Weekly CD or CC Connected x3
  • Latin – Recite noun cases or sing song from CC connected (SBrooks)

    • Activity: Go outside and find 1 of the rock types.

We also review previous weeks using the memory flashcards.
