When To Visit Headwaters Campground?
Headwaters Campground offers accommodation options, including 34 tent sites and 97 full-hookup and pull-through RV sites. It also includes 40 Camper Cabins. The campground is open from June to October and provides the perfect base camp for outdoor enthusiasts.
While Headwaters Campground only sometimes fills up very quickly, it is still advisable for visitors to plan and book early to avoid disappointment.
What Facilities Are Available At Headwaters Campground?
Headwaters Campground provides various camping options to cater to every adventurer’s needs. For tent enthusiasts, the campground offers 34 tent sites, each with a gravel parking space for up to two vehicles and tent pads for up to two tents.
The tent sites are designed to provide campers with a comfortable and relaxing camping experience. All sites feature a picnic table, a fire pit with a metal fire grate, access to nearby water spigots, flush toilets, complimentary shower facilities, and coin-operated laundry facilities.
Additionally, each tent site includes bear-proof food storage lockers to ensure your safety during your stay.
If you prefer RV camping, Headwaters Campground covers you with 97 full-hookup and pull-through RV sites. Each RV site features a gravel parking space for one RV and one tow vehicle with a maximum total length of 45 feet. The RV sites offer full hookups, including sewer, water, 20-, 30-, and 50-amp electric outlets, to ensure a comfortable and convenient camping experience.

Headwaters Camper Cabins
For those seeking a more luxurious camping experience, Headwaters Camper Cabins offer a hard-wall option. The 40 Camper Cabins, including double-double or double-single bunk-style beds, are scattered throughout the campground. While the bunks are padded, bedding and pillows are not included.
Guests are encouraged to bring their linens; however, a limited quantity of sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets are available on a first-come basis for a nightly fee. Each Camper Cabin includes a lantern but does not offer electricity or private restrooms.
Ada Accessibility With Access Pass
Headwaters Campground is also ADA accessible, with well-compacted gravel campsites and mostly level roads, though a gently sloping incline/decline may make wheelchair access more challenging. The restroom facilities are wheelchair-accessible, with one fully accessible shower.
The routes to the amphitheater have a gently sloping incline/decline with compacted gravel, and though they are somewhat uneven, they are designed to provide easy access to all campers. In addition, propane is available for purchase at the campground office, making it easy for you to prepare your meals and enjoy your camping experience without any hassle.

What Are The Policies For Staying At Headwaters Campground?
A few policies are in place to ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable stay at Headwaters Campground. To secure your reservation, a deposit will be required in cash, check or credit card for the full amount of your stay, including applicable taxes and add-ons.
Moreover, guests can stay up to 14 nights at Headwaters Campground, with a maximum cumulative stay of 30 nights across all Grand Teton National Park campgrounds. Check-in is available at 2 PM, and the guests are asked to check out by 11 AM on their departure day.
Furthermore, each tent site can accommodate up to six guests, with space for up to two tents and two vehicles. On the other hand, RV sites allow for one RV and tow vehicle with a maximum length of 45 feet and do not permit tents. It’s important to note that two motorcycles count as one vehicle.
Additionally, to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable experience for all guests, quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 7 AM. During these hours, generators cannot be used. The place also welcomes pets, but a nightly pet fee applies, and all guests must adhere to the National Park Service’s pet regulations.
