Matcha Green Tea Face Mask Recipe?
There are so many reasons to smear your food on your face. haha Face masks have been used for centuries and were a way to take care of the skin long before high priced skin companies. The beauty of homemade facial recipes is you can customize them to your skin type.
Matcha tea is helpful in reducing inflammation and evening skin tone. This mask is so simple and leaves the skin feeling soft. In winter, homesteaders are still outside tending to animals and farm duties. My face tends to get red and chapped. So for this reason, I chose to apply this facial mask.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
- 1 tsp aloe vera gel
- 1 tsp fractionated coconut oil
- 1 tsp water
- 1 drop frankincense essential oil
- 1 drop melaleuca essential oil
Directions: Mix together and form a paste. If too dry, add a few more drops of water. Spread over the face and neck in a circular motion. Leave for 10-15 minutes. Remove with a warm wash cloth. Your skin will feel soft and rejuvenated.
What is your favorite face mask?
Warning: Always test a patch of skin especially if you have sensitive skin. Not all essential oils are created equal. Go here for more info on the quality brand of oils I use.
