Title: Where to Eat Lunch Near Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
Today I’m excited to share with you some of the best lunch spots near the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden that are perfect for families like ours who are always on the go. If you’ve been following our journey across the United States in our Double Decker RV, you know that our family of eight (yes, six kids!) loves to find places that cater to all our taste buds while keeping the adventure alive.
The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a fantastic stop for families visiting Minnesota. Not only does it offer an immersive outdoor art experience, but it’s also a place where our kids can burn off that never-ending energy. Now, let’s talk about fueling up after exploring the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry and the other amazing installations there!

1. The Bird & The Bread – A Family Favorite
The Bird & The Bread is only a short drive from the sculpture garden and has quickly become a family favorite. Their artisan sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas are a massive hit with the kids, and the adults can’t get enough of the fresh salads. They also have a great kids menu, so our little ones always feel welcome.
2. Loring Park Café – Picnic Possibilities
Sometimes, you just want to grab something to-go and enjoy a picnic with a view. Loring Park Café offers an amazing array of deli items, pastries, and hot chocolate that you can take to nearby Loring Park. Just imagine enjoying a light breeze and a delicious bite while the kids play freely, idyllic, right?
3. Esker Grove – Elevated Dining
Looking for a slightly elevated lunch experience that still welcomes the cacophony that comes with a large family? Then Esker Grove at the Walker Art Center is your place. With a menu that balances sophistication with approachability, everyone in the family will find something they love, from seafood to pastas and a mouthwatering burger.
Travel Tip:
Always check restaurant hours and menus online before heading out. With our big family, we’ve learned that being prepared can turn a potential mealtime meltdown into a smooth dining experience.

4. The Lowry – Uptown Flavors
Uptown’s The Lowry is an urban diner just a stone’s throw away from the sculpture garden, known for its robust American fare. Their turkey burger and truffle fries are to die for, and they have a fantastic menu for the little ones. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between trendy and welcoming — ideal for us trendy parents who still have to wipe faces and pick up dropped crayons.
5. Punch Pizza – Neapolitan on the Go
Who doesn’t love pizza? For about 12 years now our family has done weekly Friday night Pizza and a movie. While traveling in the double decker that often means enjoying Pizza from local spots. Punch Pizza, with their authentic Neapolitan pizzas, is an excellent stop for families who might be a bit choosy about their toppings. Their pizzas are baked in a wood-burning oven, giving them that perfect charred crust that even our youngest, the twins, absolutely adore.
6. Kindee Thai Restaurant – A Cultural Gem
For families who love to dive into different cultures through cuisine, Kindee Thai offers an array of traditional Thai dishes that are both delicious and kid-friendly. Their Pad Thai is a universal hit, and the milder curries are great for introducing the kids to new flavors without overwhelming their palates.
Must-Visit Tip:
After lunch, if you’ve still got some wiggle room in your schedule (and tummies), be sure to check out the nearby Minneapolis Central Library. It’s a great place to relax with the kids and enjoy an afternoon storytime or just some quiet reading.
7. Seven Points Uptown – Marketplace Mix
Formerly known as Calhoun Square, Seven Points Uptown is a local marketplace where you can find a variety of food options. From sushi bars to burger joints, there’s something for every taste bud in the family. Plus, it’s the perfect spot to grab any last-minute items as you continue your travels in the RV.
8. Birchwood Café – Sustainable Bites
Committed to sustainability and using local, organic ingredients, Birchwood Café is a place where conscious eating is a delight. Their savory waffle is an absolute must-try, and the kids will get a kick out of their seasonally changing menu.
RV Travelers Note:
Make sure to check parking availability when traveling by RV. We generally just take the van when we’re exploring any city, but for those of you strictly traveling in your RV this is important. Spaces near popular destinations can fill up quickly, and having a game plan for where to park the beast saves countless headaches.
9. Icehouse – Brunch All Day
Yes, you read that right — Icehouse offers brunch all day, because who wouldn’t want pancakes at any hour? This spot has a hip vibe with live music often, and their shareable plates make it easy for the family to try a bit of everything.

Conclusion:
There’s no shortage of great eateries near the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden that can accommodate a family of any size, and with our adventures, we never shy away from exploring vibrant neighborhoods like this one. Minneapolis has proven to be a treasure trove of culinary delights.
I hope this guide helps you navigate your lunch plans while visiting this beautiful part of Minneapolis. Eating with a big family like ours does requires a bit of strategy, but it’s always an adventure — and isn’t that what family travel is all about?
