Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Week 13 Lesson Plans:

As a homeschool family, we enjoy participating in our local Classical Conversations community.  Classical Conversations supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families.
Below is our daily planner for Classical Conversations Cycle 1 Week 13.  We supplement this curriculum with Math and Language Arts.

Day 1:  Attend CC campus
Day 2:

  • Bible – Exodus 20:1-13
  • History – Tell me about the Kush
  • Timeline – Review timeline cards (pick a card and read the back or recite an interesting fact to your child)
  • Latin – Recite Noun Endings x3
  • Science – Recite x3: What are some parts of the geosphere? core, mantle, crust, hydrosphere, biosphere, atmosphere

Day 3:

  • Timeline – Watch timeline video from RafikiPaka on CC Connected x3
  • English – Recite x3:  Compound Prepositions
  • Math – Fluid Equivalents
    • 8 fl oz = 1 c
    • 2 c = 1 pint
    • 2 pints = 1 quart
    • 4 quarts = 1 gallon
    • Video: Gallon Man Song
  • Geography – Find Western Africa: Atlantic Ocean, Senegal River, Niger River, Sahara Desert, Ivory Coast
  • Fine Arts – Giotto

Day 4:

It depends on the length of the book. Most of the time we read the book that week. We usually read 30 min a day anyhow. If the book is lengthy then we just read excerpts.
